Two New Encounter Ideas
There are a couple of art exhibits in the city that may be of interest to you and would be a great opportunity to knock off a Spanish Encounter or two. First, a new exhibit has opened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It's called "Barcelona and Modernity: Gaudí to Dalí." This exhibit features art and architecture from the modernist movement in Cataluna, the exhibit runs through June 3.
There is also a wide-ranging survey at the Guggenheim Museum called "Spanish Painting from El Greco to Picasso: Time, Truth, and Memory." This exhibit is only running through March 28, so you'll have to plan fast if you want to catch it.
